Mission
The mission of this association is to:
- Enhance the quality of our neighborhood
- Encourage communication, cooperation, and friendliness among the residents
- Maintain and increase the spirit of awareness, security, and beauty in our community
- Express the interest and opinions of all to our local government
Organization
Communication is the backbone of the Eden Neighborhood Association. Volunteers are the
heart of communication. Every house in the neighborhood receives The Eden Examiner,
our newsletter, hand delivered by volunteers every month except July and December. The
newsletter informs residents of projects, activities, and other events in our
neighborhood. The President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are elected officers.
We have several committees. They are Communications, Political, Safety, Traffic, Emergency
Preparedness and Goodwill. Would you like to participate in one or more?
Our Neighborhood
This is our neighborhood. We are proud to live here. Let's unite to keep it that way and
improve it in any way we can. It is our duty and responsibility. We've had a great time
since our association was organized. We invite you to pay our annual dues and take pride
in improving and helping to keep this a safe, friendly, and clean neighborhood.
History
The Eden Neighborhood Association was organized in November 1993. It was started because
of traffic problems on Eden Avenue. The first meeting attracted about 100 residents. The
neighborhood is between Williams Road and Payne Avenue and between San Tomas Expressway
and Winchester Blvd. The funding of grants to this association allowed more projects and
social events making this a clean, safe and friendly neighborhood. The membership
increased to 436 in 1998.
The Association has social events involving all residents. They are a Neighborhood
Garage Sale, a Summer Family Picnic, an Annual Dumpster Day and a Volunteer Appreciation
Day.
